This model is made up of two pieces carved from horn that together simulate the figure of a butterfly's wings. Both pieces are held together by three bunches of thread on each side and are assembled onto the cotton canvas woven on a backstrap loom. In Mayan, nuup means union and for the collection it represents the feeling that it generates in the artisans of creating a piece from the talent of different techniques from the peninsular region.
