Huipil Alba

Quetzal, Campeche

A huipil-style dress made of cotton, hand-woven on a Mayan backstrap loom. It is solid in color with brown and green lines that highlight the figure of the person wearing it. It also has frayed edges that make it a fresh and light piece. On the front, it has a typical flower from the region embroidered in cross-stitch, hand-embroidered by artisans from Tixcacaltuyub. The dress is made by expert artisans from Campeche.
