The Sansevieria

The artisans at the Sansevieria Cork Workshop plant the soil in quadrants so that it regenerates naturally and use natural dyes such as blackberry, logwood, kidney bean or indigo.
There are two presentations of sansevieria: combed and corked. The combed fiber is passed through a metal-studded comb to smooth it or leave it slightly wavy, while corked consists of twisting the fiber to form rolled cords.
Some of our allies include Ensamble Artesano and Caralarga.

Sansevieria corchada
Corked sansevieria is produced by twisting two combed fibers together to form coiled cords. This versatile, naturally dyed fiber is perfect for lighting fixtures, earrings, necklaces, hammocks and decor, combining sustainability and artisanal tradition.

Sansevieria combed
Combed sansevieria, the result of ancestral techniques, is obtained by passing the fiber through a metal comb to straighten it or leave it wavy. Available in a variety of natural colors, it is ideal for creating lamps, earrings, necklaces, hammocks and decorative objects.
